ABOUT Tri 21
Tri 21 Boards® is a Minnesota family-run yard game company trying to bring family-fun to everyone. This game has just recently become a new sensation— we launched in April 2018, and has already been enjoyed by families across the United States. We crafted a triangular shaped yard game that can be played virtually anywhere with it's extremely portable size. Over the last 2 decades, our family has molded this washer-toss game into what it is today (extremely awesome, if we do say so ourselves) by combining rules and gameplay from multiple other popular yard games as well as creating some of our own rules. This strategy filled game can replace all those other yard games as it brings entertainment for hours.
We are a family of creative minds who enjoy finding fun ways to spend time with friends and family. We are Pete, Terri, Adam and Paige — 4 family members with a mission to add awesomeness to every gathering. We believe that healthy relationships come from quality time together. Family is everything. We each have our own 9 to 5 jobs, but feel like we need to share this awesome game with the world (although it's only available in the U.S. for now… sorry). We are bringing new life to yard games.
HISTORY
Tri 21 Boards® has been in our family for over 2 decades. What first started out as a new game at our cabin, soon became a way of life for us. We now play it at virtually every gathering — at the cabin, BBQ’s, bachelor & bachelorette parties, grad parties, birthday parties, and many times just because friends are over. We have multiple boards, so obviously we have to set up a bracket and spend the whole day competing for that number one spot. (A creative entry fee can just make things interesting!) To our family, this isn’t just a game, it’s now our culture, our tradition.
Giving Back
Initially Tri 21 referenced our board shape & winning score. Through development research, we found that Down Syndrome is also known as Trisomy 21. This connection ignited the opportunity to give back. As a company, we are looking forward to making contributions to the special olympics in the future.
Family Run
Pete — In charge of product development of Tri 21. He is a hard workin' man who has taken pride in his craftsmanship. Pete is Terri’s husband.
Terri — Our company voice and outreach. She handles our donations to the Special Olympics as well as other ways we can give back. Working in the education system since 1989, she has especially loved the last decade working as a teacher for special needs. Terri is Pete’s wife.
Adam — Leads the vision and strategy of Tri 21. He’s responsible for building the company’s roadmap with its growth trajectory and finding more ways to make it easier for people to get their hands on a set of boards. Adam married Paige in the fall of 2015.
Paige — Designer for Tri 21. She works on branding the website, product packaging, and other marketing materials. Paige is the daughter of Pete & Terri.
